The fee is 50,500 EGP for the certificate and it is valid for 6 months
The Ministry of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities has obligated all companies and developers wishing to purchase land in new cities to obtain secured certificates and security clearance for those dealing with the New Urban Communities Authority.
According to sources, these certificates and the security clearance are obtained from the Ministry of Interior, specifically the Projects and Development Sector "Aman".
It pointed out that the documents required to obtain the certificate include:
1. An original recent commercial register not older than 3 months.
2. The latest board meeting minutes for companies to prove the current members listed in the commercial register.
3. The data form from the Aman website.
4. The digitized tax card.
5. A detailed sketch of the company address.
And the company stamp on all papers.
It clarified that the prescribed fee for the certificate amounts to 50,500 EGP, paid by visa, and the certificate's validity period is 6 months, after which it is renewed with the same documents and payment of the same fee amount.
The Authority also approved, starting from this month of March, obligating developers to activate criminal background check procedures for companies, in an effort to consolidate the principles of transparency and governance in the real estate market, protect the rights of dealers, and out of belief in the importance of prior inquiry about companies, institutions, and legal entities applying for land or wishing to contract with the New Urban Communities Authority, and verifying the availability of conditions of good reputation and seriousness in execution.
